The Mediterranean Living Immersion
A slower way to experience the Mediterranean.
This retreat is about the rhythms that make Mediterranean life feel different: where food comes from, how people gather, and why there is always time for the table.
Hosted by Dr. Brandi Muilenburg, the Mediterranean Living Immersion brings together local markets, hands-on cooking, olive oil, indigenous wine, historic villages, scenic walking, the Adriatic, and intentionally unhurried time.
The group is kept small so the experience feels personal rather than programmed — with enough structure to open doors and enough space to simply enjoy being there.
Your Mediterranean itinerary
The retreat is intentionally paced around experience, meals, scenery, and time to breathe — not around seeing the maximum number of places.
Benvenuti nelle Marche
Settle into your accommodations and let the slower rhythm of the region begin. The first evening is designed for connection rather than sightseeing.
The Italian Rhythm
Begin where Mediterranean food begins: with ingredients, seasonality, and the people who bring them to market. Then move into the kitchen, the historic borgo, and a long Italian evening.
Olive & Sea
This is the signature Cesira day: moving from the olive grove to the landscape above the Adriatic, and — when conditions permit — onto the water itself.
Vine & Village
The final full day returns inland to the Piceno hills for indigenous wine, a long lunch, the streets of Offida, and a final table together.
Arrivederci
Enjoy a final breakfast, pack slowly, and leave with something more meaningful than a list of places visited: a different relationship to food, time, movement, gathering, and the Mediterranean table.
Four ways into the Mediterranean.
Each part of the retreat reveals a different relationship to place — the olive grove, the vineyard, the Adriatic, and the shared table.
Everything that makes the experience Cesira.
The retreat is designed as a complete small-group experience while preserving moments of independence and unstructured time.

Dr. Brandi Muilenburg is an integrative and functional nutritionist, certified olive oil sommelier, author, and founder of Cesira Olio d’Oliva.
Her retreats invite guests beyond traditional tourism and into a more personal experience of Italy: understanding the land, meeting the people behind the food, sharing long tables, and learning traditions that can be carried home.
Mediterranean living is not a checklist.
It is knowing when to walk, when to gather, when to linger over lunch, and when there is nowhere else you need to be.
Don't just visit Italy. Live it.
